John Stanley King’s Cowboy Songs
Cowboy songs existed before country music and became popular with a wider public in the 30s and 40s because of their use in western movies. Marty Robbins, Sons of the pioneers, and others continued to record them, but they gradually faded into obscurity. With this project, we have revived the old tunes and have found a renewed public interest in them.
With a mix of cowboy tunes, bluegrass, new grass, and a hint of gypsy jazz, this project brings a refreshing blend of nostalgia to the listeners’ ears.
